Homes and Retreat Centers on the Hamakua Coast

As a REALTOR Salesperson with Hilo Brokers, Ltd. in Hilo, Hawaii, I am blessed to be able to go exploring around the Big Island all the time, and preview really wonderful properties for my clients. To be honest, I see some really horrible ones occassionally, as well. But I'm not going to talk about those. Not on the internet anyway. Instead, I would like to take this opportunity to tell the world about active listings on the day of this posting on properties that I find very intrigueing. This forum allows me to review properties that are actually listed by brokerages, other than my own. Just because I herald a particular property, doesn't mean that I know all about it; and no properties are without flaws. Allow me for now to highlight just the positives. If you find some things in this list which you would like to investigate further, I hope you will fetch me up! (See www.ChristineMingo.com to find out more.)

1. MLS 187144 Onomea Bay Ranch Built in 2005 20Acres 3Bed/4Bathroom
Spacious, Airy, Elegant, Classy... but what is really jaw dropping is the tree-house, believe
it or not. Due to the gorge that this Banyan Tree/Tree House is rooted in--you actually walk
down and across a bridge to get into this amazing spot and behold... your breath-taking, tall
waterfall, spilling down the Hamakua Coast towards the equally stunning ocean view. Spin
around and you have clear views of Mauna Kea. I'm not kidding, this tree house, is about
one third the value of the property, in my opinion. Seems incredibly well-built and solid.
Great place to meditate, read a book, sip gin and tonics, and hang-out with six or seven
friends comfortably. A cool 2.5 mil. May I help you buy this baby? (Listed by another
brokerage in town.)

2. MLS 182523 Kawiki Road, Just north of Hilo Modern 7.35Acres 3Bed/2Bathroom
Also a very spacious home with 2074 sq. ft. total, I'm told. Amazing view of Hilo Bay.
Cathedral ceilings and Japanese mats positioned in front of the huge pictures windows with
a special hidden floor compartment for a tea ceremony. Mats or not, this is one of the most
stunning homes I have seen around Hilo. Only about 5 to 7 minute drive to downtown Hilo.
Listed at $1,030,000 by another agency in town. I would be pleased to help a qualified
Buyer preview this home with 2 car garage and workshop...

3. MLS 188207 Hikina St. "Ocean Front" just North of Hilo! approx 1/2 Acre 4Bed/2.5Bathrm
Incredible special spot in an up-market little subdivision called "Honolii by the Sea". There
are three levels on this house and it is wisely designed to capture as much of the incredible
ocean and Hilo Bay views as possible. The Master Bedroom is actually downstairs, but it is
so elegant--you won't be disapointed. Also two stories of lanais run the length of the house on
the ocean side. Nice jacuzzi in the master bath. Even the kitchen is a mass of windows taking
in the ocean views all the way. Cathedral ceilings. Hardwood floors have been redone
recently. Another brokerage has listed this property at $1,275,000. I would love to show it
to you! You'll like the way the big yard sweeps down to the short ocean cliff in front, I think.
